Upload PDF

posted Dec 11, 2015 19:34:36 by Dylan
I suppose there's no possibility to upload files in PDF? I've tried it but it doesn't work. The upload function is strictly for pictures I guess, right? Although I have pictures in PDF of course ;-)

I would love to see this, too. I did take one of the free uploaders out there for a spin, posted it here.

Let me know what you think! I'm open to suggestions on this one.

Well sometimes I use one of those free uploaders as well. But I actually never tried it for PDF files.

Can't open the link you posted..

Hah, figures. I think something is up with how the forums link to itself.

If you or anyone else have suggestions for uploaders, feel free to post them up! I'm just experimenting at this point.

Oh crap. I created an account on hightail and kinda played with the different features. Your PDF files looked great but somehow I managed to mess it up. Now when I open the link all I see is the title 'wiring diagram' and space is empty. So PDF's are gone :-(

Oh yeah, it is gone! Oh well, no big deal. I had that diagram up for Cheryl, and that Jeep is probably down the road by now.

I just put another random PDF up, still works. Did you find another other cool features?

Cool. I can see them. 12 pages.
I think the 'downside' if I can call it that way is that you need an account if you really want to use this. And that most people won't do this. In fact it's just a cloud right?
Anyway kinda like it and it's a clear and easy way to share any file you want. I tried to upload a PDF file the other day from my OneDrive. No problem but the fact that they mention they want acces to all your contacts, numbers,... I don't know man. Maybe you use a different method?

Hah, was it 12 pages? I just put a car in the BBB site and picked the engine performance diagram. Oh well, at least we know it can handle larger diagrams?

Yeah, I think Hightail is engineered around design groups sharing revisions and notes to one another. Cool idea, but not really what we need. And yeah, creating a login is a drag.

I saw that Steve used Dropbox in his Vauxhall thread, and I liked how it worked. No login required to view. Maybe we should give that a try?

(Does that thread link above work? If not, then I think the forum has a problem linking to itself.)

I'm sorry just figured out that as me being a follower of you on hightail, I can edit what you post. I added a PDF file from my OneDrive, no problem this time. Your upload was called 'version 1'. Mine 'version 2'. As I wanted to delete only my version it also deleted yours. So that's what I did the first time as well probably. I deleted it. I shouldn't be able to delete your uploads in my opinion.
