Ford transit p2536

2.2 litre 2008 model.

At heavy loads it goes into limp mode. Are there other faults then the actuator on the turbo that can cause this code?

Can't find anything related to that code for the Transit. What's the code description and aside from the Derate what are the other symptoms. Is this diesel or gas?

Diesel. No other symptoms. It drives well until it goes into limp.

Is this an electric or vacuum controlled actuator?

Electric. 5 wire. 3 for the position and 2 for the actuator motor.

I think I had one a long time ago where a pin hole in the intercooler set the same dtc.

Because the map did not see the wanted pressure.

Possible to check boost pressure? Is there a PID for this on your scan tool?

Could you give me the VIN Inge? See what I can find. Also like Chris mentioned the exact description of DTC cause I can't find it either.

Oh it's a P2563. That explains why I couldn't find it. 😊 There's a P2536 in your post. Anyway no big deal.
This is a VGT turbo right. Variable geometry. Don't know if you have possibility to do an actuator test and see if the rod that's connected to the vanes isn't stuck. You could also losen it and check it manually.

The rod travels all the way with no bad spots. Also measured the position sensor for several hours with different rpms. I don't think it is the turbo at all any longer. But it's very frustrating if this code is set due to underboost caused by a leak.

Can't find any leaks? Did you check the hoses from turbo to intercooler and from intercooler to intake?
No noise? Black smoke? Do the hoses become hard (build up pressure) when you rev it?
