2003 outlander crank won't start

Hello guys i just want to make sure i am in the right track got this 2003 mitsubishi outlander 2.4l and i think is a pull up design crank sensor i have my 12volts my good ground i dont have a lab scope to see a square wave but since i think is a pull up desing can i use a led tester light to see or hear my inyector cliking or see at my scanner theres a way my signal going on and off ? The crank sensor is inside the timing belt

As you know want to make sure is the crank sensor or the reluctor wheel because this crank sensor is a pain to get to them is like doing the timing belt and i just want to make sure before beginning taking all apart
