Hi Cyrus. What is the problem on this one? Did you mean it doesn't charge?

From the wiring diagram that I could find, wire from terminal L runs to lamp on instrument cluster, S and B run to B+ via 5A (ALT-S) and 100A (ALT) fuses respectively. The terminal marked IG feeds B+ to the alternator in KOEO and KOER positions.

I hope this is of help to you.

Oh thank u.the alternator doesn't charge at all.have check connector which has 4 wires and i can see just 12 volt on one wire.is it normal?

Isn't that diagram a 3 pin plug with a b+ terminal? Power only on one terminal doesn't sound right though. I'd definitely check fuses. Does the charge warning lamp light?

You don't have access to a diagram? I've never heard of a premio. What's the engine code? Similar to another Toyota model I can search?

Hmmmmm, doesn't look like they ever offered that engine in the States. Shame.

If there are four wires at the field control connector, then I'd expect it to work the same way as that other Toyota you had it for a charging concern. If I remember right, it has two power feeds, one light control circuit, and a load input to the PCM.

Matt, that diagram looks like 4 wires to me, not 3. The other 2 diagrams I could find had 5 wires to the alternator.

The Premio was made for the Japanese Domestic Market on the same platform as the Camry I think. It is a very popular used import here in East Africa.

Maybe Ivan. I took it as the 3 A terminals were one connector. The B is definitely the + post, and the earth isn't a connector. It's through the housing. My wife's tarago has a 4 pin alternator. It's labelled what the pins are too. Is yours similar?
